McGill University and the Canadian Centre for Architecture are pleased to present the 15th annual Interuniversity Charrette in collaboration with UQAM and the Université de Montréal. The theme Nourishing the City asks participants to address issues of food safety and supply, the activation and sharing of public space, and urban ecology.
The Interuniversity Charrette is a forum for future creators and thinkers of urbanity, benefitting from all the disciplines linked to the life of cities: architecture, urban design and planning, landscape architecture, interior design, industrial design, and graphic design. In addition to students from the participating universities, young designers who are recent graduates are also invited to present submissions.
The Charrette will take place from Thursday 5 November to Sunday 8 November 2009.
All of the submitted projects will be exhibited at the SAT (1195 Boulevard Saint-Laurent) on the 10th of November with a vernissage on the 11th from 17h to 20h, and with a longer exposition afterward in the Parc-Extension neighbourhood (details of which will follow).
